Therapy Business Mentors & Private Practice Experts | Practice Magnet

About the Team

There was no clear path for us. So we built one.

After building multiple therapy brands and training hundreds of clinicians, the missing structure became obvious. Practice Magnet grew out of that gap.

Sam Garanzini, MFT

Executive Director — Practice Magnet Program & Software

Sam is a licensed marriage and family therapist who learned business the hard way.

He grew up around entrepreneurs.

He built and rebuilt his own practices.

And he refused to accept that great therapists had to struggle financially.

He is:

  • A Certified Gottman Therapist
  • Co-founder of the Gay Couples Institute
  • Founder of the Queer Couples Center
  • Creator of the Couples Therapy Training Academy
  • Trainer of hundreds of therapists since 2007
  • Co-author of published outcome research with Drs. John and Julie Gottman
  • Contributing author in the Marriage Clinic Casebook
  • Author of the forthcoming book Make More Offers

Since 2007, Sam has built and scaled clinical practices that have served thousands of couples and impacted the LGBTQ+ community in meaningful, lasting ways.

But the clinical side was only half the story.

Coming from a family of restaurant owners, Sam grew up understanding margins, positioning, and customer experience long before becoming a therapist.

When his early marketing efforts didn't work, he didn't quit.

He studied Google Ads.

He studied offer design.

He worked with mentors like Ryan Levesque, Perry Marshall, and Aaron Fletcher.

Not just to collect certifications — but to implement, test, and produce results.

He built systems inside his own clinics first.

Then he taught them.

Over time, one theme became clear:

Therapists were clinically confident.

Financially uncertain.

Practice Magnet was built to close that gap.

Why We Built Practice Magnet

We built this because marketing felt overwhelming in the early years.

We built this because therapists were leaving advanced clinical trainings inspired — but unsure how to structure their businesses around that expertise.

We built this because too many talented clinicians felt one slow month away from stress.

Practice Magnet was designed to solve one central problem:

How do you build a private practice that feels stable, ethical, and profitable — without turning yourself into a marketing influencer or tech manager?

Over time, the program evolved into software as well.

Not to build a tech company.

But because therapists kept saying:

"I understand the strategy. I just don't want to duct-tape five platforms together."

So we built the system ourselves.

One environment.

Integrated tools.

AI support.

Clear structure.

What Drives Us

We care about:

  • Evidence-based work
  • Ethical marketing
  • Sustainable private practices
  • LGBTQ+ inclusive care
  • Therapists building real autonomy

This is not about flashy funnels.

It's about designing a business model that supports great clinical work — and a life you actually want.

If That Resonates

Practice Magnet is designed for full-time therapists earning at least $5k per month who are ready to build beyond weekly sessions and take control of how their income is structured.

If that resonates, I'd genuinely like to connect.

LET'S CONNECT

No pressure. Just a real conversation.
